Parent-child Story Theatre “The Three Eat Smart Little Pigs”

The Theatre Wonderland will adapt the classic fairy tale "The Three Little Pigs" into “The Three Eat Smart Little Pigs” story theatre so that children can learn from the story and understand the importance of establishing good eating habits. Through performances and making of food pyramids, it aims to deepen their understanding of a balanced diet.

“My Fairy Tale Adventure” Finger Puppet Story Workshop

The founder of Dream Reading, Dr Alan Lam, will use finger puppets to tell stories. In each session, he will share a fairy tale adapted from the classics, including "Little Red Riding Hood and Me”, “The Frog Prince and Me”, “Doctor Hippo and Me”, “Little Bear and Me” and “Little Tadpole and Me”.  While encouraging children to read classic fairy tales, he will also share the parent-child reading skills with parents.

Self-healing Workshop

Workshops on miscellaneous art topics will be held for cross-generation, parent-child, and youth. Workshops include DIY aroma stones, iron-wire glass flowers, mandala creation, Art4Menu, calligraphy collage, pastel Nagomi art, etc will be presented by The Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong and Paint in Sense Art Studio.  Participants may experience calmness through the power of art.

Interactive Healing Story Workshop

Reading a picture book can clear your mind, and readers can re-learn and enjoy the process of reading. The Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong, Bring Me a Book Hong Kong, and Kids4Kids will make use of storytelling, demonstration on storytelling skills, experiences sharing, and handicraft workshops so as to allow parents and children enjoy the fun of reading together.

In addition, Bring Me a Book Hong Kong will organise 3 sessions of online storytelling for the Libraries, featuring 3 children’s picture book authors.  The authors will share the stories of the picture books, and the children can discover the stories behind the authors’ creation.  The activities aim to encourage children to read and create picture books.
